It is named for Saint Francis of Assisi, founder of the orders of Friars Minor, and patron saint of animals and the environment. The Saint Francis of Assisi Council works closely with the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Fulton, providing assistance for various projects, members being active participants in the parish, and conducting charitable activities in the community.
The council is affiliated with the Colonel Anthony F. Naples Assembly #3245 (fourth degree) and the Baltimore Chapter of Grand Knights.
